Painting a Brighter Future

Solari Hospice Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2002 to support children and families who have experienced the loss of a close loved one. The Foundation provides education and bereavement support so young survivors can move forward with joy and hope. For the past decade, all donations made to Solari Hospice Foundation have been earmarked to fund Camp Solari, an innovative bereavement camp for children (ages 6-17) who, along with their surviving loved ones, come together for a weekend of fun, camaraderie and healing.

At Camp Solari, grief counselors teach children and adults healthy ways to express feelings and move forward, while still honoring the memory of the deceased.
The camps are free to participants.

The Solari Hospice Foundation also plans to launch outpatient grief counseling services for children and families in Houston, TX, Las Vegas, NV, and Phoenix, AZ to offer a much-needed continuum of care.

Healing Hearts. Giving Hope.
Children come to Camp Solari from many walks of life, but they have one thing in common: They've all lost someone they vitally depend on – and they need help. Whether they've lost their moms, dads or other caregivers, or their brothers or sisters, to a prolonged illness like cancer or a sudden tragedy such as suicide, kids often feel overwhelmingly sad and lonely.

Camp Solari provides hope for a brighter tomorrow by bringing kids and their surviving caregivers together with professional grief counselors in a safe, supportive, and relaxing environment. +read more
